Charleston, South Carolina| October 6-9, 2025

About the Retreat

After generations of carrying more than our share—of leading, holding, and healing others before ourselves—Black women are being called into a new way of being. A way that centers ancestral wisdom, generational thriving, and the restorative aspects of community. A way that creates the clarity needed to lead in ways that restore us rather than exhaust us.

But what does it look like to reclaim our leadership from a place of rootedness, ancestral intelligence and vision? What happens when we remember that our personal well-being is the foundation of collective power?

The From Within Retreat, held in Charleston, South Carolina and designed exclusively for women leaders who can trace their ancestry to those enslaved people who first arrived in the United States from West Africa, will support you in:

  • Reclaiming sacred self-responsibility as the beginning of embodied leadership.

  • Exploring what it means to root into your power—professionally, as well as all other areas of your life.

  • Identifying the patterns and beliefs that quietly keep you in cycles of overextension and self-abandonment.

  • Reflecting on inherited narratives, honoring your leadership lineage, and releasing the burdens that do not belong to you.

  • Balancing the desire for inclusion with the call to lead from your most authentic self.

  • Mapping a path forward using a framework for sustainable, internally-aligned impact.

This retreat is more than a pause.
It is a return— to self, to source, and to a future led by our collective wisdom.

In a space held with care, surrounded by women who walk a similar path, you are invited to slow down, listen deeply, and leave with more than a vision—a customized roadmap to you.

About the Destination

Charleston, South Carolina, is more than a picturesque coastal city—it is a living archive of Black history, resilience, and transformation. Cradled by waterways and shaped by centuries of cultural exchange, it is a place where the past and present meet, offering a powerful setting for reckoning and release.

As one of America’s most storied cities, Charleston holds a deep ancestral rhythm. From the historic weight of the transatlantic passage, to the spiritual echoes of the Gullah Geechee culture to the land remembers. It is here, in the quiet strength of the Lowcountry, that we gather to restore, to reflect, and to reclaim. Surrounded by moss-draped oaks, salt-kissed air, and the calming presence of water, Charleston provides not only a serene environment but also —inviting you to reconnect with your source, your stories, and your strategies.

This retreat was intentionally placed in Charleston to honor the journey of Black women—past, present, and future—and to create space for new narratives, bold visioning, and collective power.
